The Shrug
In the days of the civil war in America, an ancient clothing called the Zouave jacket became popular which later became the Bolero Jacket and eventually the chic shrug. Namrata takes this history and combines it with her art to create a shrug that uses the fabric, and the artisans make it into the shrug. Equally appropriate for an afternoon at the park or a cocktail event at the wine bar, the shrug embellishes any other garment, from the T-shirt to the saree, bringing alive your unique beauty through a simple piece of fabric. In the case of Namrata, each shrug is carefully curated to combine the art of the fabric, the weaving of the cloth, and the final tailoring into the shrug.
